River King Mine Train is a steel mine train roller coaster at Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri. Built in 1971, it was the park's first coaster and opened with the park on June 5, 1971. The actual ride itself is one of two tracks, one which was later sold. Today, the ride operates with its original name. The ride has also received modern upgrades, including a new control panel. It is a popular family and beginner coaster, since it is the smallest in the park. Often called simply the Mine Train, it is unique in the fact that it has no automatic system for the lap bars; instead, employees have to manually lock and unlock the bars. Trains are five cars with riders arranged two across in three rows. In total, the coaster has three trains that have a total capacity of 90 riders (30 each).

Thought this was just a ride where you go around like the beginning and no hills at all. While we got up the hill I was so scared. Lets just say almost shit my pants and had a panic attack but at the same time thought it was fun and wanted to do it again. Definitely a frightful falls! Can’t imagine myself on Pilgrims Plunge! 😂🤣🤣💩
At 39 years old it is a baby compared to Cedar Creek Mine Ride. It looks like a great family coaster to get the youngins' used to riding them.
That looks so relaxing, why are people acting like it's horrible? Inverted roller coasters are horrible, drop towers are horrible and painful, carousel swings are relaxing!
Looks like a backyard coaster
Yep that’s what they said about your mom
This was a great experience I love this ride
One, I like that they have a lot of greenery and dodging through the trees. Two, this reminds my of the moutain coasters only with lift hills instead of a 10 minute pull up a mountain.
Is this the one that had two tracks before
Yes. See RCDB entry 125.

had a huge fear of roller coasters, couldn’t take splash mountain. I went on this and it was AMAZING, I loved the loop and the perfect amount of speed for me. I literally feel like I can ride anything now. My fear of splash mountain has gone away and now i am gonna try many more coasters. Would recommend!
the start and finish plus 3 hill pull reminds me of the one in GA so im going to guess all "mine trains" are modeled the same just depends on the space on where the straight aways and turns are.
I feel as Six Flags St. Louis is my favorite Six Flags park and there is also Six Flags Great America that I like too. I mostly like St. Louis because it has The Boss which I like and American Thunder I like too and I like The Screamin' Eagle. And then I like RKMT, Boomerang, Ninja, Rookie Racer, Batman: The Ride, Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast, and Pandemonium too.

Visited this park twice. It’s a fun ride. How it was a stand up ride in the day , I don’t know why.
How does it taste?
Memories, memories!!! Near and dear.🥰🎢
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
The one in Great Adventure in NJ ALWAYS gave me black and blues the next day 😮😢. It's not made for tall people. You have to sit sideways. Very uncomfortable 😖.
Raging Wolf Bobs at Geauga Lake had the same problem with me. It was very painful on my knees so eventually riding with my hands up was not an option so I could use them to protect my kneecap with my hands.
my friends and i. came to six flags in at louis and they said wanna go on mr freeze? i didn’t what it was so i said sure, is it scary? they said and i quote “no it’s a kiddie ride and covered my eyes all the way till we were in line. i had no clue it went backwards nothing they just told me to get on and i did the way i screamed is crazy tho
I had the opposite reaction watching this than most of you. It looked to me like poorly maintained, boring garbage.
What I was thinking was that it was probably more fun on the actual ride than in the POV video.
It looks pretty nice for a 53-year-old roller coaster designed and built by hand
actually it’s WAY worse than the Matterhorn Bobsleds… which opened earlier, and it’s way better than this ride
An 8-year-old who is just getting used to coasters might disagree.
I was here as a kid, I want to go back
This would be awesome after dark
Going to ride this on the 4th hopefully
Believe me when I say: sitting in the middle of the roller coaster. This is often the least frightening spot. Similarly, you may want to select a seat in the middle of your row this way you will feel more comforted by the other passengers surrounding you. And here's some extra good advice: It is always more fun to ride a roller coaster with someone you know. Riding alone can be a scarier experience. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
I wish that disney would do these 2 things for the incredicoaster every year during the food and whine festival: 1. Add the california screamin soundtrack 2. Replace dash’s launch countdown voice and instead use AI to make Mr. Incredible’s voice say all of Neil Patrick Harris’s launch countdown recordings
is the drop bad? I've never been on an actual real coaster and I'm considering this one as my first coaster
The drop isnt too intense as compared to other rides. gold striker is like grizzly but it feels way faster
@@crand_ would you consider it a good beginner coaster?
@@crescentmo0ns yes
Ah yes the PTSD I got (It was my first rollercoaster I had ever been on I felt like I was gonna die 😅)
Considering the person who stupidly jumped the fence and got hit by the coaster died a day ago, I have a feeling this ride might suffer the same fate as SoB (the previous ride in Banshee’s spot)
I rode it last month, when the drop came, the thing that holds you in put a lot of pressure on my ribs. It kinda hurt, ngl.
Funnn. ❤
I remember going back on this ride when I was younger that I thought I was going to pass out from dizziness.
This was always one of my favorite rides as a kid. 😃
Mine too! It took me a few years to brave up enough for Screamin' Eagle, so I went on the mine train over and over again!
RIP to the guy who dropped his keys.
I can't imagine how this would have felt when it had the stand up trains on it
Exactly what is that,?
@@369284ab It was the 1984 season and was one of the first standups. It had mechanical problems, so the trains were switched back to the original ones.
Who else is here after that man was killed after hopping the fence to find his keys? His poor kids..
Accidents like this happen so often. 2007 at Katun in Mirabilandia. 2008 at Batman in Six Flags over Georgia and 2015 at Raptor in Cedar Point. The mistakes of guests are a lot of more the problem, than technical mistakes
Here to try to see possibly where someone would get hit by this ride...
Thx for uploading this
I like the Zambezi Zinger kc mo 🎉
Just rid on this exact seat yesterday..
Good mine train
why are u everywhere
It either needs the Ghost Rider Treatment, Titack Track or RMC
I remember going to paradise pier when I was 5 years old and I wasn’t tall enough to ride California screamin and when I was tall enough, they changed it
I stuck so much gum on that tunnel wall in the 90’s
my brother almost died going on one this. the worker forgot to put the back strap on him so he held on the top bars and yelled "IM GONNA DIE" a whole lot.
What ride system does it uses?
Bring it back!!!!
Chopped the dragons heads off in front of the boat how absurd!
Not sure why this is on a coaster channel, but it is a fun ride.
we went for a field trip last week 😅 i am not usually scared of rides but i was terrified because the person doing the controls was learning 😅😅 i seriously thought i was going to run into the pole
